Standing Foundation Committees

Four standing Foundation Committees: Literacy, Performing & Fine Arts, Science & Technology, and Student Leadership, identify needs, develop project proposals, and consider submitted project proposals for approval by the Foundation Board of Trustees. Each of the committees is chaired by a member of the Foundation Board of Trustees and includes a group of Pre-K through 12th grade educators from across the school district.

The Foundation is in need of volunteers to serve on the above committees. The work of these committees is vital because they put together Large Project requests for Board of Trustee consideration. The time commitment is not overwhelming, but the results of the committee work can be very beneficial to District 300 students. If you are a District 300 educator and are interested in serving please contact us at mary.gross@d300.org or fill out pdf form below. Please include your name, school, current assignment, and the Large Project Standing Committee on which you would like to serve.

The Literacy Committee considers and develops proposals that facilitate instruction and learning in reading, writing, speech, and related areas.

The Performing & Fine Arts Committee considers and develops proposals that facilitate instruction and learning in art, vocal music, instrumental music, theatre, and related areas.

The Science & Technology Committee considers and develops proposals that facilitate instruction and learning in all areas of science, mathematics, computer science, health and related areas.

The Student Leadership Committee considers and develops proposals that promote leadership skills in District 300 students.
